If the answer is Yes then we encourage you to participate in our Assisting and Adjusting Workshop!
The workshop will teach you how to properly assist your students when teaching your classes, while also helping you to learn and understand how to correctly assist and adjust yourself during your practice. You will also learn how to take the assists which will greatly improve your Yoga Asana Practice.
Learning the correct way of Assisting and Adjusting asana poses, can help to strengthen your body and your student’s body. Learning the proper techniques for adjusting and for receiving adjustments also is important for preventing injuries.
This workshop provides invaluable hands on training under the guidance of seasoned instructor.
Also if you are a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, this workshop will count towards your continuing education hours.
Angela Strynkowski spent many years studying with teachers that were hands on with assisting and adjusting. The techniques that she has learned improved her practice tremendously. After eight years of being a student she became a teacher and has been assisting and adjusting her students both physically and energetically for the last 13 years.
During the workshop we will spend half the time exploring how you assist and adjust correctly without injury. The second half of the workshop will be an asana class taught by Angela where you will incorporate what you have learned into your Yoga practice.
After you take this workshop you will have a better understanding of the proper way of assisting and adjusting. As a student you will be able to take the instruction of your teacher with awareness
